Now – Diego Peralta

With the new site I thought it would be a good time to implement a now page with a bit of insight into what I’ve been up to.

2022: Everything change and nothing change

Life: Christmas season was amazing. So glad to finally being able to celebrate the winter holidays with my friends. Best part, I’m going to Argentina, whooaaaah!
Work: after kicking off Amorelie’s frontend migration the project was freeze due the acquisition of the company and I decided to take a new career path and joined TZConnect as a Fullstack Engineer.

Life: Holidays in Argentina were fantastic, I really enjoyed reconecting with my family and friends after so long. Returning to Berlin was harder than I expected but felt great after all.
Work: I'm back to the agency life, this time working on Web3 Platforms using Blockchain technologies.

Life: My dad visited me in Berlin for the first time, we had a great time together exploring around and showing him my favorite places in the city. Later on I took some time off to travel to Mallorca 🇪🇸 to meet some friends. I think the summer was a success and I am ready to kick-off the last quarter of the year!
Work: I gave my first talk at Tez Dev Paris and traveled to London to meet some new colleagues. So far I'm really happy with my new team and the projects we're working on.

Life: enjoying my first winter holidays with snow and a real Christmas tree.
Work: getting familiar with Magento 2 and the E-commerce Headless ecosystem and starting a new position as a Frontend Engineer at Amorelie.

Life: having a great time with the newest member of the famaily, our dog Princess. The vaccine for Covid19 is finally ready and I got my first shot.
Work: assesing diffent Headless CMS vendors and platforms. Also, speding time knowing my team and the different deparments of the company.

Life: playing techno music on some outdoors parties organized by friends and enjoying the great weather of Berlin summer, which doesn’t last long.
Work: preparing the Christmas sale and helping my team to deliver all our marketing campaigns on time.

Life: expecting another winter with lockdown and preparing mentally for it. After getting the 2do dose of the Covid19 vaccine I decided to start traveling again. I went to Copenaghen first and then to Budapest.
Work: kicking off the development of frontend for our storefront and helping with the planning of roadmap for next year.

Life: moving to a new flat and getting to know my new roomates, a lovly couple from Iran. I also traveled to Italy twice, to Rome on January and then Naples on February.
Work: slowly starting to look for a new job, practicing algorithms and how to navigate the different hiring processes of the multiples companies I applied to.

Life: struggling with the first wave of the Covid19 pandemic. Things went completly south from one day to another. Lots of instrospection, observation and self-relection.
Work: learning about IoT, embbed systems and how to build a smark lock using a Raspberry Pi. Yes, I got my first job in Germany as an IoT Engineer for a co-working space!

Life: trying to figute out how to deal with the new pandemic reality and it’s restrictions. I made a quick trip to the sea side of Germany with my girlfriend.

Life: moving with my girlfriend to her flat and celebrating my new visa after some back and forths.
Work: quitting my job at Rent24.
